The “Right to be a Mother” Conference of Fundació Puigvert – Hospital de Sant Pau celebrates 10 years of the Assisted Reproduction Program for people without a male partner within the Catalan public healthcare system.

Since 1978, assisted reproduction techniques have evolved at a dizzying pace. What originally served to help infertile couples has opened new horizons thanks to scientific advances and the current legal framework, making it possible for women without a male partner to exercise their right to motherhood through the public health system.

This conference aims to highlight the journey and impact of the program: its launch, implementation, clinical results achieved over a decade, and future perspectives. A pioneering and reference model that has transformed a right into an effective healthcare reality for many women.

The program is structured into three blocks: society and paradigm shift, clinical practice and results, and patient experience and perspective, including a round table on current challenges and the future of the program, moderated by a journalist and featuring participation from clinical professionals, institutions, and a patient.
