Who we are
Fundació Puigvert
We are a university hospital exclusively specialized in urology, nephrology, andrology, reproductive medicine, and clinical psychology.
Since 1961, we have worked with a clear public service vocation and non-profit intent, combining clinical excellence with a commitment to research, teaching, and innovation.
We are located in the premises adjacent to the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, from where we serve patients from all over Catalonia, Spain, and internationally, offering comprehensive, human, and personalized care.
Purpose
To add value to people’s health, contribute to clinical knowledge and care for the environment.
Mission
To provide comprehensive, effective, and humane assistance in urology, nephrology, andrology, and human reproduction, promoting the development and scientific knowledge of these specialties, with activities in teaching, training, research, outreach, and health education.
Vision
We aspire to be the reference center in our field, positioning ourselves as a highly specialized university hospital with international projection. Our commitment is to offer high social value, always placing the patient at the center of all decisions, with a model of care of the highest quality, safety, and rigor. We distinguish ourselves by an innovative service portfolio and excellence in clinical, teaching, and research leadership. We bet on new technologies, aiming to anticipate future challenges and respond to the real needs of society.

We are leaders in comprehensive care in andrology, reproductive medicine, nephrology, specialized clinical psychology, and urology, with advanced robotic urological surgery.
Together we make life possible
We are a reference center for kidney transplants and for rare renal and urogenital diseases. Part of the CSUR, XUEC, ERKNet, and Eurogen networks.
We multiply opportunities through alliances
We have a bidirectional complementarity with the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau for care processes, integrated into the SISCAT network. We offer public and private care.
We train talent, inspire the future
We are a university center affiliated with UAB and the University of Vic – UCC for undergraduate teaching and second and third cycle studies. We have the Fundació Puigvert Chair of robotic surgery in urology (UAB).
We are recognized for specialized training in the medical field (MIR, Fellow), in specialized nursing and clinical psychology, among others. We promote exchange programs with centers worldwide and have the Expert Patient Program (in Chronic Kidney Disease).
We innovate to improve health
We are a research and innovation center integrated with seven other health sector entities in Catalonia, IIB (Sant Pau) and ISCIII (Carlos III Health Institute).

We are a healthcare foundation with responsible governance, committed to society and the care of the environment. We are adherent to the United Nations Pact.
