Fundació Puigvert↗︎
We work in a network to provide the best care and innovation
At Fundació Puigvert, we understand that collaboration is key to advancing clinical excellence, research, and comprehensive support for our patients.
That is why we consolidate strategic alliances with reference institutions, both locally and internationally, that reinforce our leadership in urology, nephrology, andrology, and reproductive medicine.
Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau
Fundació Puigvert is integrated within the modernist complex of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, with which it maintains a bidirectional care and training collaboration.
This synergy allows for the sharing of resources, knowledge, and clinical pathways to address complex and multidisciplinary processes, such as kidney transplantation, robotic surgery, and the management of rare diseases. In 2024, the care integration and participation in multidisciplinary clinical commissions will be strengthened.
Fundació Kālida
We actively collaborate with Fundació Kālida to provide psychosocial support to patients with urological and renal cancer, families, and their environment.
In 2024, group activities, workshops, and emotional support with specific sessions for Puigvert patients have increased, within the model of “architecture that heals” and joint biopsychosocial care with the teams from Sant Pau. The Kālida Sant Pau center attended over 2,000 people and surpassed 10,000 visits in the last year.
Blood and Tissue Bank
Fundació Puigvert maintains a close collaboration with the Blood and Tissue Bank to ensure maximum safety and quality in kidney transplantation processes, surgery, and treatments that require blood products or special tissues.
This alliance reinforces our commitment to innovation, traceability, and clinical safety.
eUROGEN Network
Since 2022, Fundació Puigvert has been part of the European reference network eUROGEN, specialized in rare uro-rectal-genital diseases and complex conditions requiring highly specialized surgery. We are the only accredited center in the State in all three areas of the network, which allows us to share knowledge, develop clinical guidelines, and participate in international projects to improve care for patients with rare urogenital pathologies.
In 2024, we participated in clinical guidelines, collaborative research, and European-based projects for innovation in rare and complex urogenital surgery. Our central role at the state and international level is reaffirmed.
European Academy of Andrology (EAA)
We are an accredited training center for the European Academy of Andrology, one of the world reference institutions in training and research in andrology.
This alliance allows us to offer advanced training programs, host international fellows and residents, and contribute to scientific advancement in male sexual and reproductive health.
XUEC Network
Fundació Puigvert is a reference unit of the Clinical Expertise Units Network (XUEC) of Catalonia for hereditary kidney diseases and pediatric urology, in collaboration with the Hospital de Sant Pau.
This designation, granted by the Catalan Health Service, accredits us to address complex and rare pathologies with highly specialized multidisciplinary teams.
ERKNet
We are part of ERKNet, the European reference network for rare kidney diseases.
Fundació Puigvert is the Spanish center with the highest care volume in glomerular diseases within the network, participating in international studies and developing care protocols to ensure equity and excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of these pathologies.
Technological and Strategic Partners
Since the creation of the Puigvert-UAB Chair of Robotic Surgery, alliances with top-level technological partners have intensified. These collaborations strengthen the ESG strategy, translational research, and the possibility of co-creation in clinical innovation projects: Fresenius (hemodialysis and sustainability)
Intuitive and Medtronic (surgical robotics): Advanced robotic surgery, innovation, and sustainability.
Boston Scientific (innovation in andrology)
