Fundació Puigvert is a reference university center, with a long teaching history, that maintains agreements with public and private universities for the training of future health professionals in the fields of urology, nephrology, andrology, and reproductive medicine.

Undergraduate Studies

Medical Students

Fundació Puigvert is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) as an integral part of the Teaching Unit Hospital de Sant Pau – Fundació Puigvert. UAB students carry out curricular internships and clinical rotations at the Fundació’s facilities, participating in first-level healthcare activities.

We are an integral part of the Teaching Unit of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Students from the Faculty of Medicine carry out the curricular internships of the Degree program at our facilities.

Since 2016, the Fundació has been affiliated with the Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC). Additionally, there is the possibility for students to undertake extracurricular internships.

Nursing Students

Fundació Puigvert has signed agreements with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (School of Nursing (EUI) of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau), Universitat Ramon Llull, EUI Blanquerna, Universitat de Barcelona, EUI Sant Joan de Déu, and Universitat de Vic, EUI UVic-UCC, and with Gimbernat University Schools (EUG), among others.

Postgraduate Studies

Fundació Puigvert Chair of Urological Robotic Surgery

The Fundació Puigvert Chair of Urological Robotic Surgery, affiliated with the Department of Surgery at UAB, aims to promote a set of research, teaching, training, and dissemination activities in the scientific field of urology. The Chair is directed by Dr. J. Palou.

Within the Annual Activity Plan of the Chair, a Diploma of Expert in Urological Robotic Surgery has been created. This activity is divided into three subjects: Introduction to Urological Robotic Surgery, Pelvic Urological Robotic Surgery, and Reconstructive Urological Robotic Surgery. The program consists of 18 credits and includes a final project.

Masters and Postgraduate Programs

Master in Clinical Andrology

In collaboration with UVic-UCC, Fundació Puigvert offers the first state master focused on clinical andrology, aimed at specialists in urology, endocrinology, gynecology, and dermatology. The master combines theoretical and practical training, provided by professionals from the Foundation, and provides advanced competencies in pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of andrological pathologies.

Master in Nephrology Nursing

Chronic kidney disease affects millions of people worldwide and is considered a silent pandemic. With a growing incidence, the need for specialized professionals in nephrological care is more urgent than ever. Therefore, our master in Nephrology Nursing offers comprehensive training for professionals who want to make a difference in this field and obtain a broad and future-oriented approach, considering areas such as emerging trends in nephrology, artificial intelligence, quality service accreditations, nursing management, sexuality and gestational desire, and advanced nephrology nursing practice, among others.

The program is developed in a third-level hospital environment, within a specialized monographic center in nephrology, urology, andrology, and reproductive medicine. This unique location allows each student to learn and work with the latest technological and methodological advances in the treatment of kidney diseases, ensuring a high-quality educational experience.

Additionally, there is the possibility of doing internships in different areas of nephrology. From hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis to the management of this area, Day Hospital, or advanced practice in nursing consultations.

The Nursing Department, which collaborates with the UAB-EUI training at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i de Sant Pau, provides teaching and receives students to carry out the internships of the program.

Internships of the Master at the Clinical Psychology Service

The Clinical Psychology Service of Fundació Puigvert receives students to carry out internships for the following masters:

  • Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology (Universities: Blanquerna, UOC, U. Girona, and European University Valencia)
  • Master’s Degree in Psychoanalytic Clinical Psychology for Childhood and Adolescence (UB)
  • Master in Psychoanalytic Psychology Oriented to Public Network (UB)
