The increase in the incidence and prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) due to the aging population and the high prevalence of diseases such as diabetes and hypertension (HTA), currently the main causes of chronic renal failure, is causing an epidemic of renal failure that nephrology services must control and share with Primary Care. Furthermore, it is at this level of care where diabetes and HTA are diagnosed and treated, and where the at-risk population for Kidney Disease (KD) can therefore be identified.

On the other hand, renal failure itself poses a very high cardiovascular risk. Early diagnosis of KD in the at-risk population allows for early prevention and treatment of its complications and reduces its progression.

From the Nephrology Service of Fundació Puigvert, we have been working for many years with Primary Care teams in this line. This year, we present the third edition of this training action, which we hope will be very beneficial for the attendees.
