Fundació Puigvert is a nationally and internationally renowned specialized center affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya.

Established in 1961, Fundació Puigvert is a non-profit entity that provides comprehensive, effective, and humane assistance in Urology, Nephrology, Andrology, and Reproductive Medicine, promoting the development and scientific knowledge of these specialties through teaching, training, research, outreach, and health education activities.

The Andrology section of Fundació Puigvert was created in the early 1970s and has since become a national and European reference in the specialty. The foundations of andrology practice were established at Fundació.

Currently, it is the only Center in the Spanish State with an independent Andrology service, and it is the only certified Center in the State for teaching and training in this specialty, being part of the network of excellence centers of the European Academy of Andrology.

The master’s program aims to provide the appropriate competencies regarding the pathophysiology of the male reproductive system at different stages of life, diagnostic and classification methods, and the general principles of medical and surgical treatment of pathologies affecting male reproduction and sexuality.

Obtaining the master’s degree from UVic-UCC and Fundació Puigvert allows access to the accreditation exam by the European Academy of Andrology (EAA) by decision of the EAA Executive Council on January 15, 2015, obtaining the title of “Clinical Andrologist.”
