Robotic Urological Surgery

Fundació Puigvert is a pioneer and reference center in robotic urological surgery in Spain, being the first hospital in the country to incorporate the Da Vinci system in 2005 and, since 2023, with the Fundació Puigvert Chair of Robotic Urological Surgery (UAB).

This technology allows for superior surgical precision, fewer complications, faster recovery, and better quality of life for the patient. The training program in robotic surgery includes advanced simulation and is oriented towards both clinical practice and research and teaching.

Oncological Urology

(Prostate, bladder, kidney, testicle, penis cancer)

We are a European center of excellence in prostate cancer (EPCCE), with rapid diagnostic circuits, personalized treatment, and continuous follow-up.

Our multidisciplinary team uses robotic surgery, high-precision radiotherapy, and innovative therapies, achieving excellent clinical results and a very low rate of postoperative complications (0.07%).

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Benign prostatic hyperplasia is one of the most common pathologies after the age of 50. At Puigvert, we offer complete functional diagnosis (imaging tests, flowmetry, analysis), personalized pharmacological treatment, and all current surgical techniques, including robotic surgery and laser enucleation.

The goal is to improve the patient’s quality of life by reducing urinary discomfort and avoiding complications, with periodic follow-up and multidisciplinary support.

Urinary Incontinence

Fundació Puigvert offers advanced solutions for urinary incontinence, a condition that affects 1 in 5 people. We have specialized units for functional diagnostic approaches, conservative and surgical treatments, and personalized follow-up.

Our multidisciplinary approach ensures comprehensive care, tailored to the needs of each patient, and the incorporation of the most innovative techniques.

Urinary Lithiasis

We are leaders in the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of urinary lithiasis (kidney stones and urinary tract stones), using minimally invasive techniques and state-of-the-art technology. We treat both adults and children, including cases associated with rare metabolic or hereditary diseases.

Every year, more than 250 pediatric patients with renal lithiasis are treated at Fundació Puigvert, and we have a multidisciplinary unit of recognized expertise at the national and European level.

Congenital urogenital malformations

Fundació Puigvert is a reference in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital urogenital malformations, both in adults and in children and adolescents.

We are part of the Clinical Expertise Units Network (XUEC) and the European eUROGEN network, which allows us to address highly complex cases with multidisciplinary teams and international protocols.
